Dear Children 13 and younger,

I am a fourteen year old girl who is aware of how often children use the internet. I am aware that most of us kids have a My Space, a Crush Spot, and a Face Book. I am one teenager who doesn’t have any kind of page. No My Space, No Face Book, No Crush Spot, No anything. Most parents don’t know that their child has a page.

Did you know that there are sex predators on My Space? Sex predators are dangerous and mean. You can ask your parents what a sex predator is if you really want to know.

If you are one of the children who has a MY SPACE please do the following: tell your parents that you have a page, delete your page if you need to, take your name off, take your age off, take address off, take your school off, and most off all take off all pictures. There is often an invasion of privacy on these sites. That means any one can read your information. If you don’t want it known, don’t put it on your page. People can find you so be scared, be very scared.

Speaking of pictures, did you know that people can take your picture and use it to pretend they are you? There can be people who are 45 years old posing as a 16 year old.

In closing, I would like to say that I am not a boring nerd child or something like that. I am a popular kid who doesn’t have time to follow the crowd. Just be you and be proud of who you are. If I change your mind about having a web page then hopefully you can change somebody else’s thoughts. Thank you.
